I have a RCI 2980 with very low Rx audio. Have replaced the Audio IC and several capacitors in conjunction with the IC. The headphone jack and external speaker jack was acting up so i bypassed both of them. Still has low audio. Transmits fine with great modulation on AM but only does about 15 watts on SSB. The receive on SSB and CW is very low to non exsistent. AM-FM receive seems normal just low audio on receive. I found a wire loose on the echo board but i think it is a ground and has nothing to do with the receive audio. Also have checked the 50K ohm volume pot and it is good. I checked the PA and it's not working. I can hear a pop when I key mic but no audio out at all. I found that the DX77HML mobile board is close to what I have and I checked voltages according the chart and all checked out. Can not find original schematic for the 2980 after looking diligently online. At my ropes end on this. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!!

The receive is ok an AM/FM. The receive audio is what is low. Turn volume wide open hardly no sound.
