Is there anyone making a 5/8 wave fiberglass whip? They used to be called Francis Amazer's? I believe they were 98" right between the fiberglass 96" whip and stainless steel 102" whip. It had multiple center wires. I figured someone would be remaking them?

Anyone know where to get a 18' x0.25 stainless steel rod. 12 is the longest I have found. It would make a great ss 204" of the bed?

The Francis whips had 3/4 of a wave worth of wire wound inside them, but were still outperformed by a regular 1/4 wave whip. So, once the serious CBers figured that out, they pretty much stopped buying them, and they went away.

No matter how mysterious they make them look, coils of wire do not make a mobile CB antenna work better.
