I have two radios. One is a Realistic TRC455 base that is stock dk'ing 3 watts swing to 15 and a Uniden PC68XL that dead-keys 1 watt swinging to 20. Which radio would be the better one to run the KL203 amp on??? |

The KL amps I think like 2-watt dead-key but not sure how they would handle that much swing?
There is info somewhere on this forum about the KL amps...I'll try to locate it for you...

Alright, go to Product reviews then click on amplifiers, then click on KL-203P...
Seems 1-1.5 watts is best....Hope this helps...

the uniden will work fine with deadkey. the swing however is questionable. if ya know what V.R or pot turns down audio id do that and make sure theres NO. swing mods done. the kl is a clean amp. but doesnt handle alot of drive input
