i have a real clean trc-440 and no shops in my area on the tone gen i see signal and it transmits i tried head phones and ex speaker still quiet any help would be great at least a starting point.thank you for your help and the post.

The TRC-440 needs a speaker enable connection from the mic. I do not have the pinout, but one of the pins needs to be grounded in order to enable the audio amplifier on receive.
