I have a maco 103c beam antenna and I was wondering if I bought another Maco 103c could I add this to the one I have so I could have vertical and horizontal? I have an in line electric antenna switch. I would hate to have to purchase the Maco vertical horizontal model antenna as to that would cost me more money.

Sure you can, just put it together like a Comet. And you'll have an extra boom in case you need one later.
I experimented with lots of different beams back 50 or so years ago. Fun part of radio.
I once put a 4 element hygain and a 3 element Wilson on the same tower, that was before Maco bought out Wilson. I first had the 3 element flat side above the 4 element vertical on the same mast. Worked great like that, later moved the 4 element on up the mast against the 3. They worked the same that way also. That's just one of many, some good some not so good. Ha. Think I've got a pic of that contraption somewhere.

I did not know if the boom had to be longer to ad the other elements or not is the reason I had asked. I thought I had to maybe had to have different brackets for the elements. .

I forgot about the 103HV. Copper still has it.

Thanks but I was trying to just add another 103c instead of buying an antenna that had both already. Trying to save a dollar LOL
