I have a Galaxy DX 2547 that I got at a yard sale (not working) it lights up but no rx no tx doesn't seem to have any current on bias. Any Ideas ????

Id bet the finals blew, and when mosfets go, they become dead shorts, and that dead short killed the AF power regulator Q54, hence no RX either. Check the finals, replace if needed, and check Q54. It uses the chassis as a heat sync on the right side of the radio at the rear. If you get it alive, before keying up, make sure some moron didn't spread the coils by the finals (its a harmonic filter, not a power limiter like many screwdriver experts think! :-))
