sorry this seems like a dumb question, but I just remove my radio to antenna and antenna to radio switches so i could multy band listen, each radio has a dedacated antenna, and I have searched and I am probably wording it wrong, bottom line, will I hurt my 10 meter radio if I have all 3 radios on when I transmit on 2 meters or 20 meters i have a 2 meter j-pole 18ft away from my 10 meter yagi, and both are 50ft from my random wire antenna, so i can monitor 3 bands at once, but can i transmit with any one of them with the other radios on without hurting them? max wattage 100. |

Not likely to hurt the other radios as they are on different frequencies. Now if you have doubts, it is a simple matter to fit a filter in the coax to each radio that blocks all signals above or below a pre-determined frequency. These types of filters are used regularly at field day where not only are multiple radios on different bands in use, but often 2 radios will be used on the same band at the same time - one on CW and the other on voice. I will dig thru my circuit collection as I am sure I have an article that describes how to makes these filters. Tech237 N7AUS God made me an athiest, who are you to question his wisdom?

If you have a 10 (or 11) meter radio hooked to a dedicated 10m antenna (like an Antron) 18 feet from a 20m antenna and operate 20m with 100 watts or less, not very likely to harm anything. Your radio 'Mythbuster' with Copper Electronics since 1998
