Listen, there's a CB shop in Knoxville,TN. on I-40 as you enter town on the west side(don't know if I can post there name, but anywho)they told me if I let them install a couple of Motorola finals(4597 or 4297 not sure #)in my Galaxy 66 it would swing 55 to 60 watts. Is this true?If so does copper do this mod.???/Just Wandering/I know how easy it is to be fooled into believing what your wanting to hear thats why I told them I'd think it over and get back with them later. What I really had in mind was asking you guys first.

The Galaxy 66 has space for dual finals but is stock a single final radio. If you are going have someone do a dual final conversion to it I would see if 181 or 307 could or would do it.I looked in my RFParts catalog and couldn`t find the motorolas you mentioned, I would just go with dual 2312C finals. If all is done well you could have a 66 that is real close to a General Lee, but I would trust 181 or 307 for that kind of conversion before anyone else. Just my 2 cents

Thanks Highlander for the info. how long would it take to do a job like that? The reason I'm asking is because this Thursday I've got a load going to Louisville,Ky.and I was going to stop off at copper and have them check out my radio.Could they do a job like that while I waited?
