Several years ago Copper sold a A99 cophase package .What ever happened to it?It's no longer offered in the catalog.Did it not perform well or did it not sell well or what.Even though I didn't purchase one I thought it would have been a awesome setup. |

I have always wanted to co-phase my A99's but wouldn't it be like in a big truck, you just receive and transmit in a back and forth line, not 380 degrees like with a single virt's? Like if I put one antenna at the north of my property and the other at the south wouldn't I get my best rx/tx from the west and east and vise versa, antennas to the west and east would pick up the north and south better? I know that is how it works on a semi truck, you mount them on the mirrors and you receive and transmit better to the front and back and not so much to the sides. Was just woundering.
Had a brain fart the other day. Was wondering if it is possible to co-phase my moonraker 4's. If I lined them up purfict and the right distance apart with the same length coax and run the rotors to the same control box and all that stuff would it work? I don't see why it wouldn't but it might not. Would have fun trying though. I always like to experament with new things.

You are better off 'stacking' that co-phasing your A99's or your beams. Having the beams on seperate masts will not work! Depending on where the beams are pointed, you will change the phase and your signal will be very unpredictable.
If you have the tower space, stack the A99's for a REAL 3 dB gain.
Or, just wait and see what Copper is going to offer next.... (tease) |

How about phasing the rakers for C.P. one clockwise and one counter-clockwise and stacking them or am I tip-toeing into the realm of not knowing what the h*** I'm talking about,please excuse me while my brain breaks wind. |

Unless the elements are on the same boom, you will not get C.P. You will get some strange looking horizontal plane pattern instead. |

Better than a collinear, Tech833?
A collinear would be GREAT for direct and ground wave communication! Not for skip, it would do away with a bunch of one-hop signals. That is what my quad is for, though.
C'mon, let the cat out of the bag? How about just for forum members? Even just ones who have been a member over a year? Please, just a glimpse? Please, please? |
