Any of you guys know about the old Ranger 3500s. Just bought this one,I've owned several, but this is the first I've had with any problems. It seems the processor is locked up or needs reprogramming.
When I first tried it, it was hung up in the 29 meg range, then I discovered it had not been converted to 11 meter. After doing this, I still don't get, or can enter any numbers on the freq display. By putting it on 'reset', and punching a few buttons, I can get the radio to work, but still with odd numbers and blanks on the readout. By using an external freq counter, I can move up or down freq with the push buttons, radio and amp works fine it seems, just doesn't give the freq or work propertly with the push buttons. thanks for any help. Or maybe one of you techs is looking for a 'project'. lol scrapiron
