I have a D-104 Golden eagle desk mic that I can't seem to get working, I have replaced the battery 3 times but no matter witch way I turn it either up or down, it emitts a sqeal into the radio, Was wondering how to correct this problem also want to wire it to cobra 4 pin, it is wired for 4 pin royce right now, thanx

(181): I tried wiring to a cobra 4 pin and I know its right cause it tmits and recieves just like its supposed to but still has a bad squeal no matter where I set it. thanx

Hmmm. Does turning the mic down (as in the pot on the bottom of the mic base) help? Here is what Astatic has to say about it, and a possible cure.
