I am looking at the Ranger 6300Fhp and would like to know if after the 11 meter mod and tune-up if this can be set up with a variable power pot. or not and if not can I run a Texas Star mod V plus and a 667 on this radio with the tune-up. In case you are wondering I want the mod V to cut through skip noise to talk local and the 667 for when I really want to get out. No I'm not going to drive the 667 with the mod V.

Yes it can. All you need to do is remove the "Power Pot" on the main board and install a 10K pot on the rear of the radio. Feed the three wires from the installed pot to the 3 holes on the main board where you removed it.
