Techs,do you have the number for the audio chip
in a Uniden PC-68xl?I have no rx or tx and I was told by a ham operator that knows his stuff that it could be the audio chip.What do you think and whats the part number please?Thanks a bunch for goin to the trouble.O BTW where is the audio chip
located in this radio?There's like a total of 3
IC chips in there and I can't figure out which ones which.Thanks

When you say "No TX or RX"..Do you mean you can't hear throught the speaker and it will not transmit? Or do you mean no transmit audio? If the "S" meter works when you are recieving someone ,chances are it is the audio IC , however if the "S" meter does not work , it is the PLL and not the audio IC. It is a TA7222AP

Ncrebel,

Phase Locked Loop. The main chip or processor in the radio. Not to be confused with pill, slang for a power transistor.
