I have a euro 3900 that a freind give me...it works but not very well. it has a (euro echo board)? added in it. anyway on my meters it shows bout 85 % mod with power down to about 2 watts. Everyone says that is has very little mod. tried turning vr all the way up to all the way down and everything in between. still the same. any ideas?????

Are you using a power mike?

If so make sure it has good batteries. When the batteries get low it can make it do what you are describing.
