A friend told me that I could boost my receive by unsoldering D7 at the banded end and adding a 1.5K resistor between the banded end of D7 and the board. will this work?. Thanks Jake Oh All of my friends have either 2980's Saturns,Melakas ect and all have an output of 38-50W. I've changed the finals and driver and it still will only put out 20W and suggestions? one of my friends said that he had to dajust V11 wide open to acheive this can I do this without hurting anything

by doing that you are taking alot of chances of messing your radio up.not a good idea,it dont sound bad but it could cost you mor problems than its worth .

jake those radios you mentioned are all dual finals. yours is a single final radio. so your aren't going to see the same amount of power no matter you do (except add a 2nd final).

vr11 sets the bias for the driver. he is running a huge chance of toasting the driver. the extra power he is seeing is trash from the excessive bias setting.
