I just wired a D104 for a 4 pin Cobra 29LTD and everytime I key up, I get a squeal. I wired it like this:
Blue & Shield to 1
White to 2
Red to 3
Black to 4

I didn't do anything with the yellow.
Is this right?
Thank you for your help.

look and make sure you do not have any wires touching in the mic plug.

Thanks JYD
I double checked my wiring and the solders look good and clean, but it still sqeals. The radio had some mods done on it, but it also squeals on another Cobra I have. I must be missing something here. But thanks for taking the time.

Good idea Sonoma!
I was wondering what my next step should be. I'll try that. Thanks

if you have talk back it will squeel, remove the talk back.if you dont have talk back turn your d-104 less than half way,it will still sound good also a weak 9volt battery will cause it to squeel.
