To all forum posters from "181"...

I have been asked by Copper Electronics to be part of their forum QA people, and assist 307 with mods, mic wiring, installations, and basic radio questions. I am not a "radio technician" in the truest sense of the phrase, but I enjoy the hobby and I love helping people, especially newbies getting started in the field. I hope to help everyone here to the best of my abilities in any question you might have. If I can't answer a question or don't know the answer I will tell you I DON'T KNOW!!! I don't want to lie or snowball people and tell them things that aren't true. I will try to assist in any way possible and perhaps refer your questions to 307 if needed.

My experience in communications started in 1992 when I first got into CB radio. From there my love of communications grew, when in 1994 I was hired as a Public Safety Dispatcher with the County of Lancaster, here in Pennsylvania. I am responsible for the handling of emergency police, fire, and EMS communications and telephone traffic in a 911 center that serves a population of 450,000 people. Currently I hold the position of Telecommuncations Specialist.

I enjoy the radio hobby a great deal and have owned and operated many rigs in my careers as a radio enthusiast.

Like 307 said ask your questions here. If you can't or don't get a response then email me or 307 for an answer to your questions.

I look forward to working with ALL of you and making the Copper Talk Forum the BEST on the web!

Regards,

Steve

307 : Seems like you could use some of the post off of the forum for your book also.
