Hi, all. My uncle just bought him a used Cobra 25LTD Classic (I think he said it was made in 2000, if that matters at all)(mic connector on the front, with the vol./squelch together). He wants someone to peak and tune it. What type of max. wattage should he expect from this radio? I have heard as much as 20-25 watts swing from these radios, but I am skeptical. Is it possible for these radios to swing this high? Or would you have to add other components to this radio to make it swing this high (or higher, if at all possible). He asked if I could do it for him, but if I don't even know how much one of these radios is capable of putting out, I really don't think I am qualified to be fiddling with one of those golden screwdrivers, haha. Thanks for any and all help.

Hi Jyd, there's a way to add extra channels to the Cobra 29. A certain kind of kit is needed to do so. With the Cobra 29 ST's, I don't know if it's possible.
