When I turn up the RF power knob (I think it's called RF gain on the 2510's), I can go as high as about 6 watts with all (audio and signal)okay. Above that I begin to break up and a loud hum appears (on the receiving end). If I crank it all the way, My audio completely is gone but with a loud hum and the signal drops off and bounces the needle wildly on the receiving end. This all happens running barefoot. I was told on lsb I was breaking up and have now been able to duplicate it on AM also locally. Have tried both the stock and power mic's with same results. This is a newly occurring problem as I've talked alot on this radio with the RF power knob turned up about 85%. I have been able to initially isolate my problem to where I position this specific knob. What can this be indicating? I'm wondering what might be going out and soon fail. |

Then your positive peak modulation is gone because your deadkey is to high. |
