It is definatly NOT a 2N2907A , Unfortuntly the SAMS Photofacts skips that radio. The Final should be a 2Sc1969 and the driver is a 2Sc2166.

if there is no tx or rx the pll is probably out of lock.

you could rip out 75% of the tx chain, and it wouldn't effect the rx. working backwards from the coax connector, the rx branches off b4 you get to the final. you could take everything in the tx chain from the final on down to tx mixer out and rx would still work.

but if someone was changing parts out around the final/driver area, they may have damaged the impedance matching/rx splitting circuits. this would keep rx from coming in, and tx from going out. putting another radio close to this one, would verify that. 1st key this radio while monitoring the 2nd. if you have something, tx is atleast partially working. if you can hear mod then you know it is atleast working up to the driver, since this is the 1st part of the tx chain that is modulated. then key the 2nd radio while monitoring this one. if you have some rx here, i would definitely start looking at the area between the final and the coax con.

if you have neither, then i would still think that the pll is out of lock.
