For anyone experiencing problems with yo' beep or with the radio not remembering where it was when it was turned off, I have the answer.

The 'Memory' Capacitor is an electrolytic cap near the microprocessor. C393 its a 6.3v 1000 uf. (big cap next to the Microprocessor)

The Beep components are: R96 (2.7meg-ohm),C110 (10uf 16v). R96 can be changed with a 100k Ohm to increase the amplitude and C110 can be replaced with a 50v cap with more or less capacitance to lengthen or shorten the beep on time.

Thanks to Rogerbird http://members.tripod.com/~Rogerbird/ for this information.

Orangecrush,

STOCK MIC Wiring for the HR2510 is:

PIN #1: AUDIO
PIN #2: SHIELD
PIN #3: TRANSMIT
PIN #4: CHANNEL
PIN #5: CHANNEL

YOU DID NOT SAY WHAT KIND OF MIC YOU ARE TRYING TO HOOK UP TO RADIO.

If you let me know I can probably help.
