I am puzzled as to why the S-Meter does not move on initial start up. After the radio warms up and you have keyed up two or three times the meter will start to indicate. It will work a while and then stop. No matter the signal strength. I was worried that the power mike was dead and changed the battery. The S-meter worked great after installing the new battery. I shut everything off for the day and on restart I had the same problem. Has anyone run across this condition |

Never heard that problem before however , it almost sounds as if the meter is actually hung up (needle) and after the lamp heats it up a little it starts to work. I know this may sound stupid but try the radio upsidedown and see if it works. This will confirm my statements.
