mr. 307!! i've got a question for u. if u have a good antenna tuner(tuned to 11 meters)will it out perform,or perform as well as a phyical antenna? will the ears and transmit be as well local and distance as a phyical antenna? or is that the con side of it all? thanks 505

FWIW, a tuner keeps you from hurting your transmitter and allows wide use of narrow banded antennas.....a compromise. We all know what it means to compromise.
There's no substitute for an antenna designed for a specific freq range and tuned to it thereafter for optimum performance.....or it's a "compromise".

tech671 thanks for your reponse,well i guess you figured out i had a brainstorm,about a hideaway in the attic.a wire or a coax(9913) with a tuner to make it neigborhood proof(smile)it's mfj 1.5kw versa tuner 111 it cost $249.95 it's got heavy duty currentbalum,but i did't want to spend that much money and be and it not work properly. you know what i mean?? 505
