I want to mount a CB antenna on the masthead of
my sailboat but how much distance should I have between CB an VHF antennas ,will they interfere with each other 18" apart. The top of mast is 45 feet above the deck. I need to install it in as
few trips up as possible.Thanks

I did a rough calculation on a program I found on the Internet , 18" should be fine if you are below 20 watts from the CB to the VHF radio , as for the VHF radio to the CB , 100 watts won't touch it.

For what it's worth...
I have a dual band J pole mounted about 4 feet from a 11m dipole. I do notice some quieting on my 11m rig when I key up on 2m at 25w. There seems to be no interference, however, on 2m from the 10m rig putting out up to 50w.

JUST DONT PUT THE RADIOS ON TOP OF ONE ANOTHER!!then they interfere with each other or at least my 2 meter rig at 70 watts and my cb at 100 watts fight ! just dont key up on both at same time. try to use a different ground if you can it all helps. good luck
