My realistic pro 2006 scanner's backlight stopped working and I wanted to know if its got bulbs or its led lighted and some help on how to repair it.

It is a Back-Light Strip. Very difficult to find a replacement. Search for Police Scanner Parts in google.com

Thanx for the suggestion 307 I did a search and found the parts list for the scanner on radio shack and a site with step by step instuctions and pictures if anyone else needs this back light the part # is 10800050 http://support.tandy.com/support_electronics/doc30/30383.htm is the online parts list for the pro 2006 scanner and http://home.cfl.rr.com/scan/Backlight.html is the site I found for the procedure to put it in.
