I have RCI-2970dx that on the lowest power it keys 5 watts and swings 65 watts, is this to much for a galaxy 350, if so is there a way to turn the modulation down? |

The 2970 is WAY too big for that amplifier. If you can get a "standby" switch installed in the radio to turn off the keying wire that goes to the (internal) amplifier, you'll have a barefoot radio that matches this amp pretty well. With the radio running full power, I predict parts will FRY in the amplifier for sure, and maybe in the radio.

what kind of amplifier would you suggest that will work well with the 2970, i want a ssb delay, and it is mobile so about 70 amps is all I can handle. |

Seriously, the output from a 2970 is about right for eight transistors. The four-to-one rule is hard to get around. One driving four, Two driving eight, Four driving sixteen usually turns out to be the "sweet spot" matching drive out of one stage to what the next stage (amplifier) really can take.
