I run a wilson 1000 trunklip mount antenna.
is the trunk enough of a ground or to I need to rn a ground wire from the antenna. or does it not matter at all??????/

Just be sure to clean off the pain from under the mounting screws and you will be fine.

I don't know the vehicle you are mounting to but, would suggest a ground strap across the hinges. From the trunk lid side to the body. Often times the rubber gasket around the trunk lid will cause a continunity problem.

Shrek, here's a little tip for ya....install 2 ground straps spaced evenly on either side of the ant on the under side of the trunk lid. You should see your SWRs go down. I did this to my Wilson 1k on my Chevy Celebrity and it worked for me.
