i have a short or a bad solder joint in a galaxy 66 that is causing the radio to seem like it goes into super high modulation. the meter needle slams all the way over to the side at the slighest whisper and everybody says it sounds like i am off freq and running a 1kw amp
i can tap the top of the radio and it goes back to normal
anybody got any suggestions
thanks

Common problem with the DX-66..Tighten all four of the main board to chassis mounting screws. (one in each corner) See if this fixes it. I just took one out of stock and loosened them up , TB got mega loud...
