Anyone ever seen a 2 way or 3 way microphone selector? If so, who has them?

I got to thinking about it - I love the audio of my D104-M6B, but I also enjoy once in a while hooking up my cheapy Aries echo/roger beep mic and messing with the echo... Well, wouldnt it be easier to be able to keep both hooked up and just use a 2 way switch? It would be fine by me if I had to turn the radio off, switch, then turn back on, just so I didn't have to constantly unscrew, unplug, then plug in and rescrew...

I got to thinking about it, I could make a "breakout box" for the microphone hookup - run a mic cable from the mic plug on the radio to a project box, then wire that to a toggle-type switch. From there, wire 2 male mic receivers to the 2 sides of the toggle... I just have no idea what special considerations would have to be taken if I were to put something like this together.

Another idea I was toying with, which I have no idea if even possible, is an auxillary phono-type plugin which would go in line in the breakout box. That way if I have any "noise toys" say on a portable Mp3 player, or a walkman, or anything like that, and want to play them on the air, use the mic to open up the transmit, then with the plug in the headphone jack of the player running to a stereo to mono converter plug, then into the aux plugin.. Unkey the mic to drop the transmit.. No, it's not fancy, but I thought it might be a neat project.. Once again , I do not know the special considerations that would have to be taken here.

Anyone have any input? Feedback as to what it would take to do something like this?

Thanks!

I hope your other idea is absolutely not possible,a guy up here was bleeding 40 channels with his noise toy and it got shoved in his tail pipe another guy got his coax pinned.I told a friend I wanted to get a donkey fart and he said do it at my own risk,he said the cbers up here have no tolerance for j**ks who play music or noise toys on the air,so I just stuck to talking, haven't had any problems.
