The Talkback comes and go's Seems like its loud
sometimes and quiet the next. Differnt shops
have put their TB mods in it but still winds up
being the same.
Also why is it the lower you run the power the
louder the modulation.
PS RK-56 Mike.
Thanks 692

You have a ground problem either in the radio or antenna system. Are you running an amp? If so do you get this same problem with the amp off?
Anytime you lower the carrier your modulation will increase. Sometimes when the carrier is too low it will cause distortion (raspy).

Common problem..Remove the top cover. Locate the 4 screws , one in each corner of the main board that hold it to the chassis. Tighten them all down..Done deal..

Also notice the loose nut on the antenna socket. Takes a 3/4" or 19mm wrench.
