I have been told that running high power amps could damage the computer in Chevy trucks. Is ther any thing to this?I'm thinking of installing a KLV-500 in my truck. Also, whats the differance in the KLV-500 and the KLV-500-24? thanks stepchild

A friend of my Dads ran a super modified sweet sixteen in his '88 Chevy and I have run as much as 650 watts in my '99 with no problems with either one.

I run a texas star 400v in my 98 chevy truck,no problems yet if your worried about the rf and computer, enclose it in a metal box slotted for the wire harness,I have heard that you are prety safe until you get over 700 watts, but thus is just what i have heard.Ground your amp to the closest chassis groud you can get, same with the radio should be no problems.
