I have a Eagle 150, hooked to a Cobra 146GTL in the mobile. On SSB it swings off the 100 watt meter I have. About how many PEP watts should it do on SSB, and How much on AM? How many RMS watts should it produce, on both?

Thanks,

Steve

On ssb about 200w. On AM depends on your radio about 180w peak. You'd want your AM carrier so the amp at highest power keys about 50-60w. RMS should be in the same area, about 60w.

Thanks Tech671, thats just what I needed. The cobra was tuned by someone before I got it. It deadkeys about 2 watts and swings to 11, I think the two are functioning very well together.

Thanks again,

Steve

With 11w of pep then the amp may only do around 150 pep on AM.
