My Melaka just went dead!! I checked the fuses and they are good. I dont smell anything burnt. Does anyone have an idea? |

Well Melaka is still dead!! Cked the fuses and even put new ones in!! There is pwr comming in to the xformer BUT Zero is comming out. I guess that means it is the prob!! What xfrmer do i need and where can I get one?? |

Pull the transformer out and do a bench test,being careful to thoroughly insulate the connections of the power cord so as not to electrocute yourself,then test the output of the transformer.There is a small circuit board for the connection of the power cord and transformer internal of the radio,I beleive it's underneith,check ALL those connections first with a circuit tester,remember when plugged in to outlet the voltage present on that little board can kill you,so be very careful or take it to a tech,or disregaurd this whole diatribe if you are a tech because know more than I already. |

Radiodude one more thing,when I got my eagle 2000 and did the multi-band mod.I noticed the little board in bottom was loose and power cord was loosening from board ,I knew it was a matter of time to no power so I repaired it right then. |

Well dont know what is going on but it seems to have fixed itself!! I turned it on and it came back on with no prob. It has been running for about 11hrs.
Any Ideas???? |
