my swrs was going through the roof well found out that it was the end of my cable going to my radio so took the PL-259 apart and resolder it putit back in my meter and sill high swr what could i have done wrong or is the 259 is bad oh this 259 is on mini 8 coax please help thank u diamondog

Use an ohm meter and make sure the "Center" has no resistance to the "outer" jacket (shield).
