I picked this radio up a couple weeks ago at a swap meet.
This Radio will turn on with all the lights working, but when I hooked it up I have no Rx/Tx and no swing on the s meter. I know the rest of my equipment is working ie: Antenna, mike, and other radios. The channel display is not showing complete numbers. I have changed a couple caps and the final and nothing.
I find it fun and challenging to bring back to life these old radios. So if you can help, I would appreciate it.

Sounds like a major overhaul. I could not even guess at this one...The display needs changed , Sounds as if the PLL is bad as well if you have no TX/RX and the TX light works...

Thanks 307,
Yeah the Tx lamp lights up when you key the mike but nothing is going out. Just curious about the Channel display, Would TR18, control that? Thanks again, Im probably going to use it for parts, but i going to keep trying awhile longer.

Thanks again.

Hey 307,
I just wanted to let you know that I got this old rig working. The only problem left is the channel display.

Thanks.

What did you do to get it going? I have one that is on the same freq no matter what channel you change it to. I have resoldered the vco area and no luck.
