i have a cobra 148 gtl that im going to run with my new kl 400 amp.I want to know how many watts should be coming out of my radio into the amp.my 148 is doing about 10 watts will this be ok?..if i have to lower the wattage what do i turn?..thanks

I would turn it down to about 3 to 4 watts dead key. On the 148 you will turn VR-10 (next to the Audio Transformer).

Adjust vr10 so that when the KL is on max (position6) the dead key (carrier) from the KL is 60-70w.
