how can i put talkback on a uniden 78xl and can i add it to an external speaker? |

You can put a resistor on the board side of the radio running from the ext. speaker jack solder joing down to the left to a small solder joing that is ground on the board. Once you turn the radio over and see the solder joint for the ext. speaker jack just look maybe an inch down and to the left and you will see the small solder spot on the board. This will give you talkback in the main and ext. speaker, you will have to try various resistor sizes to get the correct volume. |
