I read on this page that the Boomer 600 can be used on ssb. Since there does not seem to be a ssb switch on the front of the amp , does this mean there is automatic ssb, with a delay on am ?
Thanx

It is called "Automatic" , however I have never had success with it working that way. The fastest way to correct the problem is to put about a 450 uF , 35 Volt electryolitic capacitor across the TX relay coil. The driver for the relay is capable of charging it up fast enough so you will not notice a difference until you unkey , you will see about a 2 second delay while the cap discharges. This is a crude way but works fine...There already is a diode across the relay to remove reverse current so that it will not hurt the TX transistor.

Thanx! Now thats helpful info. Now if I can get my Klv 550 running I will be in great shape. No one seems to know if I can bypass the 6 position power selector (wich is bad) anyway Thanx again.
