my KLV400 (new) has a hum (transmitted)when keyed up (2watt dead key). No radio or swr problems...any suggestiions. My Klv 200 works perfect... |

What kind of power supply are you using? The power supply may not be supplying enough current to the 400, while it supplies more than enough for the 200. |

The question is how much wattage is coming out of the power supply. 10 watts, 15 watts, etc. Normal input power is either 110 VAC or 220 VAC.
Looking at the specs of the units you wish to run you must add all their input requirements together and add 15% to get the minimum constant needed power. Hope this helps. |

Doesn't say how many amps it puts out cont. All i know its on a circut that will run an old maco 750 so amps or wattage shouldn't be the prob....Any more suggestions? |

Okay, has it been "modified" to run on 11 meters? (I'm assuming you are running on the CB bands). I don't know if that would cause a hum or not but just another thought.
Hmmmmm, just to clarify, is this the base station 400, or the 400 mobile on a power supply? Was the Maco750 a base or mobile? |
