I AM EXPECTING MY VR 9000 IN TOMORROW THAT I ORDERED FROM COPPER. I GOT YOU TO PEAK AND TUNE IT. IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO DO TO IT BEFORE I DO THE NPC MOD IN THE SUBSCRIBER SECTION.
THANKS, COLT

Don't do the NPC mod....If 307 set it up, you are all set. Put it on the air before you mess with it.

If I had it to do over I would not have done the npc mod on mine. Don't get me wrong it works but not worth the time for the extra power I got.

There are mods for the roger beep and another mod to add 10m voice back in. I'll look through my stuff later when I get down to my room.

Ok, the roger beep is controlled by r181 which is 220k ohms for a higher beep tone try a 150k to 200k ohms and likewise for a lower tone try a 270k to 2m ohm and the time of the beep is controlled by c134 which is a 2.2uf @16vdc for a longer beep use a 5 uf or 10 uf cap and likewise use a 1 uf @16vdc for a shorter beep.
Hope this helps COLT.
XLAXX,I decided to type it up even though I was dog tired.

Go through the alignment for the "MELAKA" in the subscribe area of this forum and it tells you how to get the TX/RX Locked. The VR-9000 is the same as the Melaka...
