I was wondering if you could tell me which control inside the 959 controls the carrier balance. The radio works fine on lsb but hardly receives on usb and is very high pitched on usb. I have also attepmted to bring the freq. counter to the correct freq. by using the provided adjustment to no avail, is there a correct padder that i can install that would give me enough range to bring the counter up to where it's supposed to be?

It will take a counter that can be tapped into the 10.695 oscillator in the radio. Without one of those, I don't know how you'll get the carrier frequencies back where they belong.

Carrier balance does not have anything to do with Receive. 2600 is right , unless you have a counter OR a known calibrated radio (on LSB and USB) you won't be able to get exact...

I have a freq. counter and a calibrated radio that i can use but i need to know which control in the radio to adjust. If the balance is off it does tend to make one sideband high pitched both in recieve and transmit. Could you tell me which control inside the radio is to be adjusted?
