i got a boomer 400 High Drive !!! and it wont key at all wheres the problem ???? its got me stumped ~~~

I don't mean anything by this,but do you have the coax connected to the proper connectors rx/tx,in/out,xmit/rec.etc.I got in a hurry and did this good thing my pre-amp was not on or poof.

hey Bigbob the pre-amp works just fine but
no xmit !!!! ive checked the the resistor that
is rite next to it and it shows good !! its got me stumped ~~~~~

If you can send it to coppers they can probably repair it,e-mail 307 or tech 671 either could give you the skinny on this.You'd need a schematic to fix it yourself,the only one I got is for a shooting star 225 w/mrf455s.

Check your coaxes. Make sure they are in the right location, turn amp on and key mike, wiggle each coax to see if the relay activates. If it does not then call Copper for further instructions. It's QUITE rare for a defect as such with a new amplifier.

Does it "click" when you TX it? IF not replace BOTH "small" transistors , not the "pills". They are either 2N4401 , 2N2222A or 2N3907A or 2N2907A. You can get them at Rad Shack...

Hey 307 !!!! i changed the 2n2907a's and still no click i also changed the 16v1000uf capacitor and still nothing !!! still stumped ?????????? im about so send it to Copper !!!
