I removed the 148 NW front panel and I was surprised how the ribbon cable pulled out for V+ to light it up. Now, upon reinstalling it, I can't figure out exactly where the cable goes. I see a "connector" but I can't figure where to slide in the cable. Does it just slide in somewhere or is there more to it?

Figured it out by trial & error.

I have a question that kind of falls in with N4ari's question.

A guy I know just got a 148 NWST and it had a slight buzz that was heard only by anyone at the radio. He disconnected the NW lights and it went away.

Is this normal? or is there a problem with his faceplate. I do know some of the lights are going out on it. Could that be the problem, or would it do that even if we replaced the face plate?

Could it possibly be a totally different problem all together?
