1-2-3-5 are the pins used, audio-rx-tx-shield.
For a D104 that would be:
white on 1
black on 2
red on 3
shield and blue on 5
This applies to the following that use 6 pin plugs: Magnum 257, 357, Delta Force, Alpha Force, Millenium radios, Road Pro Titan, Prostar, Commanche, Albrecht 485, etc.

Barefoot,

STOCK wiring on the 4~Pin Plug for the 452 is:
PIN #1 ~ GND
PIN #2 ~ AUDIO
PIN #3 ~ TX
PIN #4 ~ RX

STOCK wiring on the 5~Pin Plug for the 452 is:

PIN #1 ~ AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ GND
PIN #3 ~ RX
PIN #4 ~ COMMON
PIN #5 ~ TX

Sorry, I do not have the info for a 6 Pin Plug.

Just a silly question, you posted in the Ask The Tech Section (Modifications) HTX-10 that you already hooked a Aries 452 Mic up to the Magnum 257 and said it was working great.

Was it already wired for a 6 Pin Plug?

tech 808 I am using the 452 with a 4 to 6 pin adapter. The adapter and mic are bigger than the radio. Would like to wire it for the 6 pin but not sure of the wiring and pin six is scarey!

Barefoot,

By useing Tech 671's Helpful, wiring listed above, it should convert to the 6 pin plug as:

PIN #1 ~ AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ RECEIVE
PIN #3 ~ TRANSMIT
PIN #4 ~ OPEN/NC
PIN #5 ~ GROUND
PIN #6 ~ OPEN/NC

Hope this will help.

Thank you! Tech671 for the wiring on these radios.

Wildchild,

For the Magnum 257 to Astatic D104-TUG8 is:

PIN #1 ~ WHITE / AUDIO
PIN #2 ~ BLACK / RECEIVE
PIN #3 ~ RED / TRANSMIT
PIN #5 ~ SHIELD / GROUND

PIN #4 UP/DOWN and
PIN #6 13.8V ARE OPEN ~ Not /Connected

A suggestion is to CUT Pin #6 off of Mic Plug so nothing can short out against it.

Hope this help's.
