the radio is not night watch or sound tracker just 29 with mic socket in front when i peak it out on strait 40 channels i get about 28 watts then i go to lowers it might be doing 1 to 2 watts so i avg. it out to get 18 watts on strait 40 and about 10-15 watts on lowers is there any thing i could do to get the same amount of watts that i get on lowers that i get on strait 40 the 28 watts and it is a chip switch for the extra channels

Have an expert align the radio. You won't get the power perfectly "flat" across 120 channels, but it should hold fairly steady over about 80 of them, more or less. The usual buzzword for this is "broadbanding" the radio. There is no simple "solder-it-in" gadget to make this happen.

The power that you will see on the tech's "dummy load" will probably hold steadier than you will see on an antenna. Some antennas will have high enough SWR on the uppers and lowers to change the wattmeter's power readings, even if the radio power doesn't rise or fall very much on its own. If SWR measures over 2 on uppers and lowers, expect funny watt readings from any radio.
