I HAVE A COBRA 148 WITH A FC-390 FREQ COUNTER IT WORKS GOOD BUT I SEEM TO BE LOOSEING ABOUT 2-3 DB ON THE RX SIDE WITH IT ON. TURN IT OFF AND THE RX IS FINE HAVE ANY IDEAS.

That is more than just a little weird. Makes me wonder if something got hooked up wrong?

Now if you had said that the receiver drops when you PLUG IN the counter, I might have a clue. Just turning it OFF shouldn't make a difference if it's hooked up right.

Does the receiver change between Bright and Dim on the display? Pressing that button on the counter should have NO impact on the receiver if the hookup is right.
