when i key up, i often get a nasty feedback both thru the external speaker as well as transmit or so i am told. I have recently added an amplifier. I have taken the amplifier out and still had the feedback. I use a RK56b mic. I have tried relocating ext speaker but just not alot of room in cab of peterbilt.

Any idea's on where to start?

Plumcrazy,

I have two customers who are running the VR9000's with the Ranger Ext Speakers in 2000 Pete day cabs and the KL300 amps with No feedback useing the Stock Mics.

The one thing we found is to just open the E-tone just till it clicks on and no further on AM.

On SSB they shut the E-tone off completely.

They also both ran the power wires direct to batteries rather than go thru the Pete dash wiring. 10' of #10

Hope this helps some.

Lon;

Will try that and let you know if it works. I got a long nose 379. Don't know that that would make any difference with sleeper or not.

Thanks Again,

Plum-Crazy
