I have a cobra 148 i bought from someone,it has a echo board in it that i donot beleive is hooked up right just by lookin at it it looks like someone had a better idea on how to hook it up and it doesnt even work right. When you turn the radio on i have to click it on and off about 4 or 5 times to get the echo to turn on and if i turn the radio off same •••• again.Thats ok though, now, the talk back i have been trying on and off for days to take out,I am now conveiced i have to take this echo board out to get rid of it.Does any one no how to get rid of talk backin this thing without removeing it.Does anyone have instuctions on how to hook up an echo bpard in this thing. That info would be nice.Maybe i could hook it up right and get rid of all this •••• taped together inside this thing and make it a good radio again.

Dont no what kind of echo board it is,doesnt look like anything special though.

thanks,ok I got the talkback out.Someone unsolder a green wire from somewere and soldered it to ground. This green wire goes to the same spot on the board as the speaker wire.I looked around and deceided to put it on the recieve pin of the mic plug because when i unsoldered it from ground no noise out speaker at all.It works As for the echo board i still havent figured out yet.
