This is the older grant with the upd858. am works fine. usb works fine. When switched to lsb the receive is gone. It will go to transmit when keyed. the tx light lights up and I can hear the relay switching, but no audio at all. When in lsb mode If I turn the volume way up I can hear some static. Any Ideas?? Thanks for replying. |

LSB Local Oscillator crystal is bad...Probably not firing at all , the noise you hear is just white noise that is leaking through the filter...

Thanks for the reply 307, I guess its time to open her up and check it out. Where's a good place to pick up one of these crystals? Thanks again. |

try jan crystals in fort pierce ,florida.they can cut a xtal for you. dont remember the phone number tho.. sorry. |
