Have a friend who gave me his blown out 5-pill. He had over-volted it, and after checking it, he had a couple of blown 2879's and a couple of resistors. I replaced them and it started working. After replacing the too small guage wire he had on it, it started putting out more but after 3 keydowns of around 3 to 5 seconds each, it shut down again. Did not have a chance to get hot as you could barely feel feel any warmth upon touching them. Can't get anything off any transistor now. Any idea on what could have blown them out again? It was on a stock 12v system. 2290 driver seems to be okay. Thanks, Allen
